In September 2012 Mark Gorton was invited by Project for Public Spaces to give a plenary address on transportation and urban planning policy at the Pro Walk Pro Bike Pro Place conference in Long Beach, CA.

In his talk Mark proposed a bold set of initiatives for a new national advocacy campaign focused on bringing about significant changes in the next federal transportation re-authorization bill.
